Have salt in yourself Jesus extol the virtues of salt. He declared, salt is good. But went on to ask a pertinent question, how can salt be seasoned, if it loses it originality? "Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another." (Mark :9:50) I am sure what the Master was actually asking is what is the essence of a thing, if that thing has lost it's essence? How can salt lost his saltiness? How can a man lose his way? How can a man not recognise the the essence of his being? Jesus finally says, "have salt in yourself" . Have some essence, some preservation, some flavour, some seasoning in yourself. And then live in peace with others. If you do not discover the essence of your being, that is, if you do not have salt in yourself, you cannot live in peace with others. You would be too fragmented to be whole, to be 'single' enough to be able to

MAKE MELODY UNTO THE LORD ( PART 1).

MAKE MELODY UNTO THE LORD ( PART 1). " And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit ; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and Spiritual songs, singing and MAKING MELODY IN YOUR HEART TO THE LORD ." Ephesians 5: 18- 19. MELODY means here tune in other to praise God. It can be in psalms, hymns and Spiritual songs. We have a tune when we pray, this tune here is a rejoicing tune. Not to ask God for anything but just to worship him for who he is. Notice that word ' MELODY IN YOUR HEART TO THE LORD '. This Melody is not just in singing or praising with your mouth as other do. You do it with your HEART in honour to the Lord.If your heart is not involved in your singing psalms, hymns and singing song, it is voice training and another way is noise making.
