As Jesus look was on the father and it due to his look on him that make him to commit himself to fellowship with the father. Now that Jesus is exalted by the father we are to look at him.
" Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man come unto the father but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known the father also..." John 14:6-7.
If your look be on Jesus, you are in the way. The way is referring to how to get to the father, if you are in the way, you have life.
" For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16.
Man was living but dead before Jesus came because of the fall of Adam. God have restored man back to his original self in Christ.You become a partaker of living and alive not dead through Christ Jesus.
It is looking unto Jesus can your life be meaningful here on earth.Anytime you look away, you will see the storm and trouble in the world. A good example is the story of Peter walk on water.
" And when the disciples saw him( Jesus) walking on the sea, they were troubled,saying, it is a Spirit, and they cried out for fear.But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.And he said, come.And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him,and said unto him, o thou of little faith, wherefore did thou doubt?" Matthew 14:26-31.
You can see from the above scripture that Peter walk on water as Jesus told him to come but his look change, that is when he saw the storm or boisterous wind. The boisterous wind was there since
( read verse 24).
This apply to us as believer,when we look away from Jesus. We will see impossibilities and you will exalt your situations more than God. The word of God is our guide to keep looking unto Jesus. As you study and meditate your look will continually be on God. Let Jesus be exalted in your life and not that situation. Stay blessed.
