Who you work for determine who you get pay from.If it is for men, you will get your reward here on earth and if it be God, your reward is not just earthly only, an eternal reward is await you in heaven.
How do you serve God? Some serve with eye service while some serve with singleness of heart. Which category are you?
" Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eye service, as men pleasers; but with singleness of heart, fearing God.And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord,and not unto men;Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:22-24.
If you serve with eye service no reward for you and to service with eye service means you serve because you want to be recognized that you are doing something and people should praise you for that. This type of people in the Church are those who get offended that the minister in charge do not pay them after their labour for years or do it to be appreciated by men.
If you serve with eye service,you are not serving to the Lord and therefore you cannot receive anything from God.
God put people in charge of his work and it is the people you are to serve and do not think that you are to do it your own way. Start yielding yourself to the lead of the people God put in charge even beyond the church. Rendering service with singleness of mind and not with eye service. Know your stage today and change if it is eye service.
