Have you found yourself in a situation where you try so hard to have faith on something you're asking God for? You try so hard maybe as a result of the sermon you heard but those doubts keep coming? Don't bother yourself any more because it will never come
When we read the Bible, we see the faith of Abraham, the faith of the woman with the issue of blood, and so on and we admire it so much that we want it but it doesn't just happen. Permit me to hold your hand and tell you just why
Faith is not something you do. Yes! "To have faith" doesn't mean you can make faith happen whenever or however you want. Faith is not a feeling neither is it hope.
The scripture says "faith comes by hearing." Faith comes! It's not something you create. It's not something you try to generate like some have been doing. It comes on its own. It is given; it grows from a seed of the Word
Faith is a fruit of the spirit. The tree doesn't buy or struggle to have fruits, it comes naturally once the tree finds the right condition. And so, faith can't be bought, acquired or forced on oneself, faith comes from somewhere, it's a fruit from a seed - the Word of God
Some persons want to have faith by force when their faith account is empty. And so, they hit their heat, beat their chest, cry aloud thinking faith would come. No matter how hard you hit the ATM if there's no money in your account, it won't bring out money for you
Your faith account is the Word, the scriptures. When your spirit is loaded with the Word and quality time in prayer and worship, faith COMES naturally. You don't even ask for it, you don't try to have it. You just discover that you find it difficult to doubt God instead of finding it difficult to have faith
I don't really think we need to ask for faith in prayer. You don't need to ask your account manager for money. Even if you do you won't get. All you need do is put money in your account and you can have it whenever you want it.
Study the word until you begin to think and speak the mind of Christ. Spend quality time in prayer and fellowship with God daily and things will begin to happen even before you ask. You're no longer the one talking but God would speak through you and it will come to past. Stop asking for faith, go for the Word and fellowship and mountains will begin to move before you utter a word
